Browser Popup Blocker Settings

Internet Explorer

1. Open a new Internet Explorer window and go to Tools > Internet Options
2. Click on Privacy tab at the top of the Internet Options dialog box.
3. At the bottom of the Privacy tab, click the checkmark box next to Block Pop-upsand then click Settings
4. In the Pop-up Blocker Settings dialog box, click in the box udner Address of Web site to allow: and type in the URL for UTEP's Blackboard.
5. Click Add and then click Close to close the Pop-up Blocker Settings dialog box.
6. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

Firefox

1. Open a new browser window and go to Tools > Options
2. Click the Cotnent at the top of Options dialog box.
3. Click Allowed Sites
4. In the Allowed Sites dialog box, click in the box under Address of Web site: and type the URL for UTEP's Blackboard.
5. Click Allow and then Close.
6. Click OK.

Safari

1. Open a new browser window and go to Safari > Preferences
2. The Preferences window will appear. Select Security at the top.
3. Next to Web Contetn:, make sure there is a check next to Enable plug-ins, Enable Java, Enable JavaScript.
4. Make sure the box next to Block pop-up windows is not checked. If you prefere to navigate the web with pop-up blocker on, it can be turned off quickly by going to Safari > Unblock Pop-up windows. A checkmark will display next to the Block Pop-up window when a pop-up window is blocked.
5. Next to Accept Cookies:, make sure the radio button next to Only from sites you navigate to is selected.
6. Click the Red button to close the window.
