Introduction to Blackboard Management
Welcome to the the Blackboard Management website. This website is designed, not only to assist faculty in the technology used in the Blackboard Course Management System; but, to offer some ideas on how to use the technology as well. The basic tutorials, contained within this site, assume that you have an understanding of how to use a PC or MAC, and know how to use an internet browser. In addition, you should also have the proper computer browser configuration. Each tutorial, within this section, will begin with a introductory section stating the purpose of the Blackboard tool and some other relevant information that you may find useful in teaching online.
- Many pop-up like images, or screenshots. and small informational pages are presented within the site to assist you in learning the material. These pop-up like items, as depicted in the image to the right, have a close button at the lower right side; so that, you can return to the page you were on.
- Along the top of the pages within the tutorials, you will see "breadcrumbs". These breadcrumbs allow you go to a higher level page within this site.
- Whenever a symbol
is displayed, there is additional information that has been collapsed and requires you to click on the symbol to see the additional information. In addition, there are links within the content that will give additional information, such as images of tools. - In each tutorial section, such as "Groups", there is a right-side navigation that will have additional sub topics for that section.
- Finally, below the right-side navigation of each page within this site, a "Last Modified" date is displayed. This will allow you know that the material that is within the site is being updated with changes, or corrections.
