The Office of Instructional Support Services (ISS) serves as the primary support center for the use of technology in teaching and research. ISS offers technology support for faculty in the Undergraduate Learning Center (UGLC) and provides course design and development support for faculty seeking to teach in technology-enabled flexible learning formats.
ISS offers a variety of workshops designed to prepare faculty teaching with technology-enhanced courses, hybrid/blended learning or online courses, video conferencing services via LINKS (our newest state-of-the-art facility), and technology-enhanced collaboration in ELEMENTS (our evolutionary teaching space). ISS also offers support for program development, virtual world development, and proposal writing.
ISS staff is actively involved in proposal writing and are successful recipients of numerous grants, including awards from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the UT System and the National Science Foundation.
