Weber and paying a $500  

deposit. One half of deposit is   

refundable until January 10,    

2010, when payments will be  

made on rooms and airline

tickets.

How to Enroll

Because this is a regular University of Texas at El Paso class offering, it is open to all students who are qualified to enroll at UTEP. All students going on the trip must be enrolled and their university fees must be paid in full. To enroll students must obtain the permission of the professor and pay a $500 deposit. With permission students can proceed to enroll in the same way as for any other course offered during the 2010 Maymester.

 

Course Credit:    The course is listed in the UTEP Schedule of Classes for Summer 2010 in the Maymester as HIST 3390, History Special Topics, "The Layers of Rome" and as HUMN 4390, Special Topics in Humanities, "The Layers of Rome" and as ARTH 4319. Special Topics in Art History, "The Layers of Rome". Students may choose which ever listing fits their degree requirements. Graduate students may take the course with the permission and advising of the professor.

 Student Responsibilities, Information and Deadlines  

 

1. Deposit an initial amount of $500.00 to the Humanities Rome Travel Account at the Student Services Building Cashier. Use account number 41-3001-1496 object code 3383.

2. Bring the receipt to the Humanities office in Liberal Arts 233. The office secretary will make a copy of this transaction and provide you with the copy. WCH office must maintain originals. All transactions must be processed the same way.

3. Pick up a travel packet and complete all of the enclosed forms.

   Your Rome Travel Packet Includes:

  1. Information Sheet

  2. Travel to Rome Flyer ( includes a brief course description)

  3. International Identity Card application form

  4. Application Release Forms

  5. Estimated Expenses for Students

4. When bringing proof of your original transaction, you must turn in all documentation filled out as provided in the packet. This includes any release forms, information sheets, etc. Along with this, please bring with you a small photo as this will be attached to your identity card application.

5. You must buy or update your passport immediately after you process your initial deposit. If you have your passport, the WCH secretary must make a copy of it when you bring your paperwork/ receipt with you. You have until January 10, 2010 to have your passport. Failure to comply will result in withdrawal from the trip. If your passport is near expiration, please renew it as soon as possible. When filling out your information sheet, make sure that your name matches your passport (including all names and surnames).

6. Withdrawal will result in cancellation fees from the travel agency: Withdrawal on or before January 10, 2010 will result in withholding half of the initial deposit as withdrawal compromises group travel rates.

 After January 10, 2010 THERE WILL BE NO REFUND. Please be certain that you are serious about this course/ travel.
